C.R.E – Creativity, resilience and empowerment for change

 

European Solidarity Corps ESC
Hosting Organization: Brigada Do Mar, IAIRS, Azes
Venue: Portugal, Poland
When: ASAP till the 31st of January 2022, for 2 or 5 months.
Requirements: 18-30, Speaking english

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
C.R.E. project intends to face the increasing levels of youth marginality from the point of view of empowerment and the need for inclusive societies in Europe, places where young people can take action, contribute to their own growth and the community. C.R.E. project aims to promote the empowerment and active citizenship of young people through the approach and methods of non-formal learning, as a tool capable of stimulating creative thinking and active adaptation to reality.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The project covers: travel expenses up to 275.00€, food and accommodation; public transportation, all the fees for visa and residence permission; insurance (health, accident and liability insurance).

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
The activities are focused on sustainable development, through active participation of citizens and young people. The volunteers will be involved in activities of the hosting organization that will allow them to be able to implement paths of change aimed at the community. Thanks to network of the organiztion, they will work in development schools of environmental awareness and education activities, contributing to the intervention of the organization it intends investing in young people.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE
Being resident in Italy, aged between 18 and 30; strong motivation and connection with the values of peace, non-violence,equal opportunities, human rights and environmental sustainability. Motivated to support the hosting rganization’s activities from the logistic tasks to the facilitation of group dynamics; interested to learn about new cultures and exchange of experiences, interested in carrying out environmental awareness and education activities, available to attend the follow up phase.

 

Volunteer4solidarity – ESC Project

 

Hosting Organization: Euni Partners
Venue: Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria
When: ASAP till August 2022
Requirements: 18-30, speaking English

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
The project objectives are directed towards engaging the volunteers in activities by which their sense of active citizenship can be fostered, to develop their social competences and cultural awareness. They will learn how to work in a team, to acquire leading skills; intercultural competence; organizational skills; problem solving and critical thinking.

It will equip them with key personal, professional and entrepreneurial competencies and skills such as teamwork, leadership, intercultural competences, project management, problem solving and critical thinking. The aim of the project is to empower young people to become independent individuals, ready to enter the labour market on one side. On the other, they will strive to influence the local community through conducting trainings on social entrepreneurship, this way, providing opportunities for social inclusion and equal opportunities for all.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Volunteers will live in shared apartment in single or double rooms in close distance to the office and centre of the city. Bills for the heating, electricity, water and internet are covered, as well as travelling costs.
Monthly allowance is 225 EUR, except months January and February, when it is 209 EUR, due to higher electricity consumption.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
Participation in training on arrival and mid-term evaluation in Bulgaria, support of the sending organization before departure and on return, language course in Bulgarian, on-the-job training and support

PARTICIPANT PROFILE
Being resident in Italy, aged between 18 and 30; We are mainly looking for young people with fewer opportunities, especially with geographical or economic obstacles or cultural differences with strong motivation and connection with the values of peace, non-violence,equal opportunities, human rights and environmental sustainability. Motivated to support the hosting organization’s activities from the logistic tasks to the facilitation of group dynamics; interested to learn about new cultures and exchange of experiences, interested in carrying out environmental awareness and education activities, available to attend the follow up phase.
