On the 18th March the kick-off meeting of the new project ACT 4 Inclusion took place!
The meeting was supposed to be hosted in Palermo, but covid restrictions led the partnership to meet in an online environment. Despite all the obstacles the project stated with great enthusiasm and the meeting has been a good start for the project launch. The meeting was enriched by the presence of one representative of the Spanish National Agency for Erasmus Plus program.

ACT 4 INCLUSION – LIFE IN THEATRE is a project aimed to extend and to develop the educators’ competences through the use of skills related with the use of social improvisation theatre. The idea is to increase the level of the quality in the pedagogical methods and to have a wider number of methodologies to be used with people with special needs.

The strategic partnership of this project, identified the existing problem in the development of abilities of the people especially in the development of social and personal skills, suffered by adults with fewer opportunities (refugees and migrants, people with psychological disorders, people with physical disability, elderly people, etc). Fundamental belief of this project is that non-formal education spaces with a methodology developed through theatre settings will generate personal tools to offer significant results in the case of anxiety disorders, depression, low self-esteem and social isolation.

After a short presentation of all the partners, the coordinating organisation, Rosto Solidario, presented the main project timeline, objectives and managerial issues.
Each partner presented their responsibilities in the project, such as the Intellectual Outputs, the quality assurance indicators, dissemination and communication strategy and financial issues.

The Learning, Teaching and training Activity will be very important for the good ongoing of the project. The consortium will evaluate the possibility to organise it online if it won’t be possible to travel, to reduce at minimum the risks for the project.

The partnership is ready to start with the first steps of the project implementation!
Very soon it will be possible to follow the project activities in the specific social channels and website. Stay tuned and follow ACT 4 Inclusion!
