Words are important, regardless of language.
The words that come out of the mouth are important, but even those that we say through our hands, through our writing and that we send to our friends. Talking about the words we use becomes an important issue.
That is the reason why “Words Matter”has been created by the Association Pistes Solidaires Méditerranée, that has been working to promote change, starting with the youth through non-formal education.
The intercultural exchange will take place from 1st to 9th July, near Marseille, in the wonderful and bucolic Vaunières, a village surrounded by a sparkling nature and about two hours from Marseille.
In the last few days, from 19th to 21st May, I have had the opportunity to visit the place and to know the organizers and the group leaders; there is so much enthusiasm and there are no doubt this will be a unique experience, formative, fun and relaxing.
I had the opportunity to visit the place where the exchange will take place, so beautiful that it makes you want to put a camping tent and stay there; I met very nice leaders from Egypt, Croatia, Georgia and Tunisia, and they promised great fun. So, in addition to CEIPES, there will be the other partners Club Culture Alì Belhouane from Tunisia, Alternative Education Academy from Georgia, the Sting for Consultancy and Design association from Egypt and the Croatian Koordinacija Udruga mladih Siska association.
The topics that will be discussed are no hate speech, communication in all its forms, discrimination and everything about the use of words . There will also be intercultural events to know more about the traditions and the food of the participating countries, games, trekking and anything fun that comes out of being together, stimulating and knowing each other.
Just take a look at the photos and if you are as fascinated as I am by what you see and what you could learn, do not miss the chance to be part of a great exchange and ask to partecipate.
France is waiting for you!
