Dopo Artool Market, parte la seconda fase del progetto a lungo termine Mandala – Meeting is an art, Work Plan finanziato dalla European Youth Foundation del Consiglio d’Europa.
Per fare in modo che una società diventi realmente interculturale ogni gruppo sociale dovrebbe essere in grado di vivere in condizioni di uguaglianza indipendentemente dalla propria cultura, stili di vita o origini. Ciò diventa essenziale per facilitare il processo di inclusione, iniziando dai giovani, in quanto, sebbene l’educazione interculturale deve avere luogo nella società nel suo complesso, lavorando sul potenziale dei giovani futuri cittadini si può avere un maggior effetto sull’intera società. Questa attività di implementazione locale della durata di 6 mesi,da maggio ad ottobre, vedrà la partecipazione 15 giovani migranti e 100 giovani studenti di scuola superiore che parteciperanno ai workshops facilitati dai migranti con il supporto dello staff del Ceipes. L’attività locale è basata sulla precedente attività internazionale svoltasi a marzo nei termini dell’uso delle conoscenze acquisite e dei risultati raggiunti. Lo scopo di questo programma a lungo termine è di creare una comunità più inclusiva, dove i giovani operino come agenti del cambiamento e dove diversi tipologie di gruppi dialoghino in modo costruttivo.
Obbiettivi specifici:
– Formare 15 giovani migranti sviluppando le loro competenze nella promozione e nella protezione dei diritti umani,nel dialogo interculturale, nella leadership e nella facilitazione in vista del loro futuro ruolo di facilitatori con studenti di scuole superiori
– Iniziare virtuosi processi di reciproca comprensione tra le comunità migranti e i cittadini locali attraverso il coinvolgimento di studenti e insegnanti.
– Rafforzare il legame tra l’educazione non formale e quella formale,combinandone le reciproche competenze e opportunità attraverso un supporto tra pari
Fasi principali del progetto:
FASE 1:PREPARAZIONE
Apertura delle candidature ed iscrizioni entro il 4 giugno. Comunicazione dei partecipanti selezionati entro il 6 giugno.
FASE 2:CORSO DI FORMAZIONE ED INCONTRI DI PREPARAZIONE
Corso di formazione 9.10,11 giugno dalle 9.30 alle 18.00 presso la sede del CEIPES, in Via La Farina n.21. Incontri di preparazione ai laboratori da effettuarsi nelle scuole tra giugno e settembre.
FASE 3: LABORATORI NELLE SCUOLE
I partecipanti al progetto, divisi in piccoli gruppi, realizzeranno laboratori sul dialogo interculturale usando strumenti artistici e promuovendo la campagna no hate speech nelle scuole superiori di Palermo,con il coinvolgimento finale di altri 100 giovani. (settembre-ottobre)
FASE 4:VALUTAZIONE FINALE
Valutazione dei risultati con i partecipanti e gli istituti scolastici.(ottobre)

After Artool Market, the second phase of the long-term project Mandala – Meeting is an art, a Work Plan funded by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
In order for a society to become truly intercultural, each social group should be able to live in conditions of equality regardless of their culture, lifestyles or origins. This becomes essential to facilitate the process of inclusion, starting with young people, because although intercultural education must take place in society as a whole, working on the potential of young future citizens can have a greater effect on the whole of society. This 6-month local implementation activity, from May to October, will involve 15 young migrants and 100 young high school students who will participate in workshops facilitated by migrants with the support of Ceipes staff. The local activity is based on the previous international activity carried out in March in terms of the use of the acquired knowledge and the results achieved. The purpose of this long-term program is to create a more inclusive community, where young people act as agents of change and where different types of groups interact constructively.
Specific goals:
– To train 15 young migrants developing their skills in the promotion and protection of human rights, intercultural dialogue, leadership and facilitation in view of their future role as facilitators with high school students
– Begin virtuous processes of mutual understanding between migrant communities and local citizens through the involvement of students and teachers.
– Strengthening the link between non-formal and formal education, combining their mutual skills and opportunities through peer support
Main phases of the project:
STEP 1: PREPARATION Opening of applications and registrations by June 4th. Communication of selected participants by 6 June.
STAGE 2: TRAINING COURSE AND PREPARATION MEETINGS Training course 9.10.11 June from 9.30 am to 6.00 pm at the CEIPES headquarters, in Via La Farina n.21. Preparatory meetings for laboratories to be carried out in schools between June and September.
STEP 3: WORKSHOPS IN SCHOOLS The participants in the project, divided into small groups, will carry out workshops on intercultural dialogue using artistic instruments and promoting the no hate speech campaign in the high schools of Palermo, with the final involvement of another 100 young people.
