SEMINAR ON THE EURO-MEDITERRANEAN FINANCIAL OPPORTUNITIES

The Seminar on Euro-Mediterranean Financing Opportunities was held in Naples during two days of the last June, the 15th and the 16th, organized by Fondazione Mediterraneo in collaboration with the Association OpenMed from Sardinia. The seminar is part of the group of activities of 7 Step of the Italian Anna Lindht Foundation Network. Laura Granvillano, financial manager at Ceipes, took part to the seminar representing our association as member of the mediterranean network.

The meeting arises from the need to increase the skills of the ALF members both on the major Mediterranean cooperation programs and on the methodologies for the design and subsequent management of transnational projects.

The trainers for the two days were Alaa Ezz, General Secretary of CEEBA, the two project managers Emanuele Cabras and Daniele Cocco of the OpenMed Association and Michele Capasso, President of Fondazione Mediterraneo and Head of the Italian Network ALF. After a brief but intensive review on the funding opportunities in the Mediterranean area and on the project approach to them, the focus shifted to the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation program ENI CBC MED 2014-2020, which will be launched by the end of the month. On th

e second day, however, some of the network’s best practices were presented and it was given to the participants an oppor

tunity to interface and exchange experiences and contacts through a project design simulation. All near the wonderful setting of the Gulf of Naples and inside the MAMT, the Mediterranean Museum of Art, Music and Traditions, praise of Fondazione Mediterraneo.
