Carlotta Insalaco, tirocinante al CEIPES, ha partecipato al Training Course “ Female Labour Participation and Gender Equality in Labour Force” promosso dall’organizzazione K – GEM , ad Ankara, in Turchia, dal 21 novembre all’ 1 dicembre 2016.
Di seguito un resoconto della bellissima esperienza vissuta.

“Il corso di formazione, svoltosi ad Ankara e della durata di 10 giorni, ha avuto come oggetto la partecipazione delle donne e l’uguaglianza di genere nell’ambiente lavorativo”. Il corso è consistito in una serie di attività, principalmente basate sull’educazione formale e non- formale, al fine di confrontare e condividere le differenti culture e le esperienze dei partecipanti nel mondo del lavoro. Il primo tipo di attività erano concentrate sulla percezione di ogni cultura dell’uomo e della donna nei diversi ambiti sociali: il loro ruolo nella società, nel matrimonio e nelle loro vite quotidiane. Ogni partecipante ha potuto discutere riguardo a questi argomenti, esprimendo le sue opinioni e facendo domande agli altri partecipanti. Il secondo tipo di attività sono state invece basate sul lavoro di gruppo: ogni gruppo multiculturale aveva come obiettivo quello di ricercare, condividere e presentare la condizione della donna imprenditrice nei differenti paesi, prima, fornendo un background informativo riguardante i vantaggi e gli svantaggi sia dell’uomo sia della donna a seconda delle legislazioni e, in secondo luogo, focalizzando la propria attenzione sul lavoro femminile e spiegando verso quali settori dell’economia si indirizza la loro scelta lavorativa. Il terzo tipo di attività si sono focalizzate sulla percezione dei due generi: donne e uomini sono stati divisi in due gruppi ed entrambi dovevano mettere in scena, attraverso una rappresentazione teatrale, la propria percezione del genere opposto nei differenti aspetti di vita quotidiana. Inoltre, queste tre attività sono state ulteriormente accompagnate dalla presentazione dei presidenti di molte organizzazioni con lo scopo di sostenere l’uguaglianza di genere e l’imprenditorialità femminile come ad esempio: “ Women Platform UK”, “Compass Egyesulet” e “ Intercultural association for all”. Da ultimo, al fine di incoraggiare lo scambio culturale, ogni sera il team KGEM ha organizzato una “ Serata Culturale” durante la quale ogni paese doveva presentare e condurre l’evento presentandosi e creando dei quiz e dei giochi per allietare il pubblico.
Come giovane donna, attualmente all’inizio della sua carriera lavorativa, ho trovato questo TC molto interessante e utile poiché mi ha dato la possibilità di riflettere sulle situazioni critiche di non eguaglianza di genere che ancora caratterizzano, specialmente in Italia, gli ambienti lavorativi. Il dialogo interculturale e la possibilità di venire a conoscenza delle differenti missioni delle organizzazioni riguardo al supporto dell’imprenditorialità femminile e della condizione delle donne nell’ambiente lavorativo, saranno essenziali per il mio impegno nella ricerca di possibili soluzioni all’ineguaglianza e per trasformare esse in sostenibili. Inoltre, questo TC ha implementato la mia conoscenza, dandomi i giusti strumenti per poter fronteggiare diverse situazioni che sperimenterò non solo in vista dei miei viaggi futuri ma anche in vista della realizzazione del mio sogno di diventare un agente diplomatico”.

“The training course, which took place in Ankara lasted for 10 days and focused on women’s participation and gender equality in the working environment. The course consisted of a series of activities, mainly based on formal and non-formal education, in order to compare and share the different cultures and experiences of participants in the world of work. The first type of activity was focused on the perception of every culture of man and woman in different social spheres: Their role in society, in marriage and in their daily lives. Each participant was able to discuss these issues, expressing his views and asking questions to other participants. The second type of activity was based on group work: each multicultural group aimed to look for, share and present the condition of a woman entrepreneur in the different countries, first, providing an information background on the advantages and disadvantages of ‘a man of woman according to legislation and, secondly, focusing his attention on women’s work and explaining to what sectors of the economy their work choices are directed. The third type of activity focused on the perception of the two genres: women and men were divided into two groups and both had to stage, through a theatrical representation, their perception of the opposite sex in the different aspects of everyday life. In addition, these three activities were further accompanied by the presentation of the presidents of many organizations with the aim of supporting gender equality and female entrepreneurship, such as Women Platform UK, Compass Egyesulet and Intercultural association for all “. Lastly, in order to encourage cultural exchange, every day the KGEM team organized a “Cultural Night” during which each country had to present and conduct the event presenting itself and creating quizzes and games to cheer the audience.
As a young woman, currently at the beginning of her career, I found this TC very interesting and useful as it has given me the opportunity to reflect on the critical situations of gender inequality that still characterize working environments, especially in Italy. Intercultural dialogue and the ability to become acquainted with the different missions of organizations to support female entrepreneurship and the status of women in the working environment will be essential for my commitment to seeking solutions to inequality and making them sustainable. In addition, this TC has implemented my knowledge by giving me the right tools to deal with different situations that I will experience not only in view of my future travel but also in view of the realization of my dream of becoming a diplomatic agent.”
