Dal 24/01/2018 al 01/02/2018 si è svolto a Malaga lo Youth Exchange “GENDERation” volto a promuovere e facilitare le metodologie di educazione non formale sul tema dell’uguaglianza di genere.
Il progetto è stato organizzato dall’ente capofila “TRANS” e ha visto il coinvolgimento di 35 giovani, provenienti da diversi paesi europei con visioni ed esperienze diverse tra loro in tema di politiche di genere.
Appena arrivati alla Noira, ci siamo trovati a nostro agio, in un ambiente molto confortevole e familiare, accolti dal caloroso gruppo spagnolo, con il quale si è creato, sin da subito, un legame speciale.
Lo youth exchange ha previsto inizialmente delle attività di team building che ci hanno permesso di conoscerci e creare dei gruppi con componenti di diversa nazionalità; questo, ci ha dato anche la possibilità di creare dei legami che poi si sono rafforzati ed evoluti grazie alle attività organizzate.
Tutte le attività sono state condotte attraverso una metodologia non formale che ci ha permesso di conoscere e fare nostre, nuove tecniche di apprendimento basate su workshop, energiser, brainstorming, dibattiti e rappresentazioni teatrali. Inoltre, grazie all’educazione non formale, ci è stato possibile affrontare con facilità e leggerezza temi, che nella società odierna molte volte vengono considerati dei Tabù.
Un’altra colonna portante di questo scambio è stata sicuramente “l’interculturalità” con la quale le tematiche sono state affrontate, che ha fatto sì che ogni paese potesse contribuire, con il proprio background culturale e con la propria sensibilità, nell’affrontare temi come : gender balance, uguaglianza di genere, femminismo, diritti della comunità LGBT e discriminazione di genere.
Durante lo Youth Exchange, divisi in gruppi, abbiamo inoltre dovuto preparare delle sessioni su dei temi che ci sono stati assegnati, in questo modo abbiamo potuto mettere in pratica quello che abbiamo imparato durante i giorni passati a Malaga.
Molti sono stati inoltre i momenti di convivialità e divertimento che hanno caratterizzato lo Youth Exchange, tra questi ricordiamo la serata interculturale che ci ha permesso di conoscere i cibi tipici e le danze tradizionali dei vari paesi partecipanti e il tour di Malaga organizzato dal gruppo spagnolo, grazie al quale abbiamo potuto ammirare le bellezze paesaggistiche e architettoniche della città Andalusa.
Alla fine delle attività, abbiamo inoltre preparato dei materiali che possono essere considerati come il prodotto finale di questa bellissima avventura.

Grazie a questo scambio, ognuno di noi ha avuto la possibilità di esprimere le proprie opinioni riguardo questo tema, in maniera libera e senza essere giudicato, potendosi confrontare, anche magari, con chi la pensa diversamente da noi e senza ombra di dubbio, abbiamo arricchito notevolmente il nostro bagaglio culturale in tema di politiche e disuguaglianze di genere. Questo scambio inoltre, è stato importantissimo perché ci ha permesso di conoscerci meglio come team e di creare delle bellissime e solide amicizie che sicuramente rimarranno tali nel tempo.

From 24/01/2018 to 01/02/2018 the Youth Exchange “GENDERation” took place in Malaga to promote and facilitate non-formal education methods about gender equality topic.
The project was organized by “TRANS” organization and it saw the participation of 35 young people from different European countries with different visions and experiences in terms of gender policies.
As soon as we arrived at Noira, we felt comfortable in a familiar context thanks to the warm welcome of the Spanish group, with whom immediately we created a special bond.
The first part of the exchange was about team building activities, that allowed us to know each other and to create groups with different nationality members; this thing gave us the possibility to create bonds that became strengthened thanks to the activities organized.
All activities were conducted through a non-formal education methods that allowed us to know and embrace new learning techniques based on workshops, energizers, brainstorming, debates and theatrical performances. Moreover, thanks to non-formal education, we were been able to deal with themes considered Taboo by the current society.
Another important thing of this youth exchange was “the interculturalism” with which the topic has been addressed. In this way each country was able to contribute, with its cultural background and its own sensitivity, in addressing issues such as gender balance, gender equality, feminism, LGBT community rights and gender discrimination.
During the Youth Exchange, divided into groups, we also prepared sessions about specific topics assigned to us, so we were able to practice what we learnt during the days spent in Malaga.
There were also many moments of conviviality and fun that characterized the Youth Exchange, among these, we remember the intercultural evening that allowed us to know the typical foods and traditional dances of the other countries; and the Malaga tour organized by Spanish group, thanks to which we were able to admire the environmental and architectural beauties of this Andalusian city.
At the end of the activities, we prepared also materials that can be considered as the final product of this wonderful adventure.

Thanks to this youth exchange, each of us had the opportunity to express their own opinions about this topic, in a free way and without to be judged, comparing with people who had different opinions from us. Also, we have enriched our cultural background in terms of gender policies and gender equalities. This exchange was also very important because allowed us to know each other better as team and to create beautiful and solid friendships, that surely, will remain so over time.
