“Sii il cambiamento che vorresti vedere nel mondo” diceva Mahatma Gandhi. Se la voglia di fare nasce però spontanea, è sicuramente più difficile mettere in pratica le proprie idee. A sostegno delle intuizioni e dei progetti ambiziosi di giovani promotori di novità c’è YOU.CO.DE. Young Community Developers Work Plan 2016, il progetto promosso dal Ceipes e finanziato dalla European Youth Foundation. Dedicato ai ragazzi tra i 15 e i 30 anni, ha come obiettivo principale, infatti, quello di İncentivare lo sviluppo della società promuovendo i progetti diretti dagli under 30. E lo fa seguendo pochi step. Uno: organizzando un seminario per conoscere buone pratiche già esistenti. Due: pianificando un training per analizzare nuove idee progettuali. Tre: coordinando un corso di formazione (uno per ogni paese partecipante) per imparare a realizzarli.
“Crediamo che la preparazione dei giovani sia la base per costruire una società più pacifica e democratica – spiega Irene Capozzi, project manager del Ceipes – ci impegniamo dunque per potenziare la leadership e la loro cittadinanza attiva al fine di contribuire al miglioramento delle rispettive comunità. Sia a livello locale che europeo”. Ma c’è di più. Se da un lato si implementano le capacità dei giovani e si stimolano le loro idee, dall’altro il progetto permette al Ceipes di lavorare su altri tre diversi aspetti. Si incrementa la rete interna favorendo la creazione di un network internazionale specializzato in questo argomento; si favorisce la condivisione di buone pratiche a livello europeo e, nel locale, si coinvolgeranno giovani provenienti da contesti svantaggiati.
Obiettivi:
– Potenziare i giovani sviluppando e riconoscendo le loro competenze personali relative alla leadership e alla cittadinanza europea attiva attraverso un’educazione informale e un’educazione peer-to-peer
– Migliorare la conoscenza e la condivisione di validi progetti diretti dai giovani a livello locale in tutta Europa e supportare lo sviluppo di nuovi progetti diretti da giovani donne e uomini
– Creare e sostenere una comunità europea di giovani sviluppatori comunitari che possano imparare gli uni dagli altri e fungere da “moltiplicatori”
– Sviluppo di abilità chiave, necessarie per comprendere il loro ruolo nella società e il loro potere di portare cambiamenti

“ Be the change you want to see in the world”, Mahatma Gandhi said. If the willing of doing something is spontaneous, is easier to make your ideas become true. You.Co.De Young Community Developers Work Plan 2016, promoted by Ceipes and it is financed by European Youth Foundation, was indeed created in order to sustain initiatives and ambitious projects of young promoters of change. It is targeted to youths between 15 and 30 years old and its aim is to foster the development of the society, promoting projects that are directed by under 30 people, by following a few steps: 1) organising a seminar in order to understand and share existing good practices; 2) planning a training course to analyse new project ideas; 3) coordinating a training course (one for each partner country) in order to learn how to realize them.
“ We believe that youth empowerment is the base to build a more peaceful and democratic society- explains Irene Capozzi, project manager at Ceipes- our commitment is to reinforce the leadership and their active citizenship to contribute to the improvement of the communities they belong to. Both at a local and European level”. But there’s more. On the one hand, we develop youth abilities and stimulate their ideas; on the other, the project gives the possibility to Ceipes to work on other three different aspects: we increment the internal communication with the creation of an international and specialised network for this topic; we foster the sharing of good practices at European level and we will include youths belonging to different disadvantaged contexts at a local level.
The main aim of the project is to boost a concrete development of democratic societies around Europe promoting and supporting the implementation of successful youth-led projects which include a European dimension and assure an equal participation of young women and men.
The specific objectives are:
- To empower youngsters developing and recognizing their personal competences related to leadership and active European citizenship through non formal education and peer-to-peer education;
- To increase knowledge and sharing of successful youth-led projects at local level all over Europe and to support the development of new ones led by young women and men;
- To create and support a European community of youth community developers who will learn from each other and act as multipliers.
